Except normal zinc alloy commemorative coins or brass commemorative coins,we can also produce a very special kind which is mint coin also known as hydraulic commemorative coins.
Hydraulic is the name of the process,basically the commemorative coins produced by this process can be with very fine and obvious details and with mirror and frost metal per customer’s requirements as well.
Normally we do the recessed area as mirror and raised relief part to be frost or matte finishing.
The most popular material would be brass or zinc alloy or iron,also this process is used to produce precious metal commemorative coins as well which will be introduced in next pages.
The mint coins or hydraulic commemorative coins normally is without colors filled per market preferrence,but we can also apply it with soft enamel or prints together. In order to perform a good mirror metal,this process can not be applied with hard enamel and it’s unnecessary to apply with epoxy as well. If you would like it to be special,it can be applied with enamel which can glow in dark or translucent enamel etc.
Also the most popular edge for this process would be smooth or reeded edge which is same as a real coin.
Finishing can be various but the most popular one would be gold or silver or nickel,it also can be copper,black nickel,antiqued finishing or dual finishing.
The details produced by this process would be much detailed and finer than a coin produced by strucking brass or casting zinc alloy process.
